ANIMAKA WILMONT has base a flare in Jaime Winstone,
GHD mk4, who wore a dress?to the?Virgin Media Shorts Awards 2010 earlier this week. Made?from 12 metres of?film reel and charted specially at the designer duo,
five fingers shoes, the piece displays?images taken from the?1993?documentary In Bed With Madonna.
"We have all wanted to make a dress out of film so we were actually excited about this project," the pair narrate us. "Using the tangible film reel from In Bed With Madonna was such a perfect fit for one event like this and for?Jaime's identity. The individual slides of?Madonna in mattress with her terrible blonde hair not merely create an exciting pattern but up close they are intricately detailed."
The designers admit that the production of the dress was a logistically difficult.
"Making the clothes was technically demanding,
new hogan," mention the duo. "Film coil is exceedingly slight so stitching was tough - once bent, movie reel will no stoop behind and creases very accessible. But despite the challenges it catered imaginary architecture and shape, which has created a unique dress with a lusty anyhow female profile."
Did Jaime see for agreeable as they had wished?
"Jaime was a normal alternative for us -?she embodies everything namely is fresh and exciting almost British film and mores right now," the pair say.?"To penetrate her wearing this chip was fantastic, she went it peerless for us."
