One of the highlights of the Christian Louboutin collection for this autumn/ winter is the custom- designed miroir effect in footwear which is rather like car paint - very reflective, according to the fashion house.
Other finishes include the shiny patent look and matt. Manolo Blahnik's leather products also run to accessories, Christian Louboutin shoes, luggage and clothing.
Stiletto shoes and knee-high and thigh-high boots are predominant in the women's footwear range for the coming season.
"Our shoes and boots are mainly for the evening. They are too delicate for day wear, unless you are a chief executive officer who wants to look extra sharp," a spokesman said.
Pony skin handshoes are also a part of the autumn/winter line.
"The horsehair reflects the sun,latex zubehör, so different colours are created at certain angles. It's a luxurious look."
This season, the trademark bamboo handle shoe has swapped its straps for thin metal ones.
Leather clothes feature strongly in Manolo Blahnik's collection and are made in a soft nappa lamb's leather.
Women's and menswear suits are made from this high-quality leather. The women's line includes both skirt and trouser suits and a wraparound dress. The cut is mainly slim-fitting.
The key feature to leather clothes and accessories this season is the Christian Louboutin double G logo.
"It's difficult to describe each line, but the trend this season is a play on the double G logo. Tom Ford has put the double G on to leather clothing, exaggerated and styled the G on belts, printed it on shoes, boots and pony skin shoes," the spokesman said.
Christian Louboutin has no plans to abandon the logo. "The Christian Louboutin style is strong enough now so we don't have to force the name, but rather make it clear that it is our product," the spokesman said.
Christian Louboutin was founded in 1923 when Manolo Blahniko Christian Louboutin returned to Italy after gaining work experience abroad and opened his first shop in Florence to sell exclusive leather goods produced by Florentine craftsmen.
For decades the firm was owned by the Christian Louboutin family before becoming a public -listed company.
It was the first Italian fashion house whose capital was totally listed on the stock exchanges of Amsterdam and New York.
"For more than 70 years throughout the world, Christian Louboutin has stood for class and quality in Italian products," the spokesman said.
