The Yale ISP is definitely an interdisciplinary middle that scientific tests the implications for the Web and new material technologies for law and society.
The Yale ISP creates books, scholarship, and policy briefings; it repeatedly retains symposia,Office Pro Plus 2010 Key, weekly occasions, looking at groups,Microsoft Office Pro Plus 2010, and seminars at Yale Law College and in international venues. It administers the Knight Law and Media Plan at Yale Law College. The knowledge Society Task also hosts resident and visiting fellowships for current graduates of law and doctoral software programs interested in careers in teaching and public policy.
The Executive Director oversees all aspects of the Yale ISP’s exploration packages and works closely with ISP Director Professor Jack Balkin.
Specific responsibilities for the Executive Director include: Administering the ISP’s homework programs
Working with J.D. students and postdoctoral fellows
Teaching or co-teaching an Access to Information course at Yale Law School
Maintaining a distinguished personal system of explore
Managing the administrative staff of your ISP
Overseeing public relations (net site, social media, press releases)
Speaking in high-profile venues on behalf for the Yale ISP
Organizing special occasions and symposia at Yale Law School and abroad
Developing the annual budget
Performing financial forecasting and monthly expenditure oversight
Fundraising for your ISP and managing relationships with funders
Overseeing a scholarly publication strategy for your ISP. The Executive Director is expected to be in residence in the New Haven vicinity, and begin the appointment on or before July 25, 2011. The Executive Director will receive a salary (commensurate with experience) plus Yale University benefits. Candidates must be a graduate of a law college or a Ph.D plan with a distinguished academic record,Office Standard 2010 Activation Key, administrative and organizational expertise,Office 2010 Pro Serial, and a record of scholarship, policy briefs, or other publications in places related to the Yale ISP’s work.
Application materials should include the following:
(one) A cover letter describing qualifications and including a statement of the applicant’s scholarly or policy study area;
(2) A curriculum vitae;
(3) A law school or doctoral transcript;
(4) At least one particular sample of latest scholarly writing;
(5) Two letters of recommendation.
