A man was bitten and had his belongings stolen in a robbery on Wednesday (1/6).
The incident happened at 5.45pm when the victim, a 23-year-old, withdrew some money from a cash point at the Co-op on Neath Hill when he was approached by three men, one of whom asked the victim to get some alcohol for him, the victim refused.
Shortly afterwards, they followed the victim and as he got on the Redway near Leopard Drive they tried to punch him in the head, then grabbed him around the neck and threw him to the floor.
They searched his bag, took his money and a small pack of amber leaf tobacco before running off.
The victim suffered scratches and grazing but did not require medical treatment.
The offenders are described as about 16-years-old, white, one of them is 5ft 9ins medium build,

Another was skinny build, 5ft 11ins, longish curly light brown hair and was wearing black or brown hood with white or off white horizontal stripes and dark jeans.
The victim cannot give any description of the third offender.
Detective Constable Reg Jones, leading the investigation, said, ��I am appealing for anyone who saw the incident to contact police as any information about these suspects will help bring them to justice��.
